Description

The three-year action research project developed a digital, data-driven strategic evaluation platform and a supporting storytelling framework. The platform Sports Club 2.0 is a cost-effective digital solution for measuring and demonstrating the social impact of sports clubs. The platform provides unique insights into communities and helps organisations better understand their strengths, communicate their value, and build more resilient and impactful activity. The successful pilot phase demonstrated strong potential for nationwide implementation, supporting wellbeing, inclusion, and community engagement across Finland.
The project addressed a key policy challenge by integrating the benefits of local sports club culture and physical activity into decision-making and governance systems, while establishing a stronger societal rationale for active lifestyles and civic participation.
