My ambition | My ambition is to promote wellbeing and health through food and eating, and contribute to creating solutions that support people in adopting dietary patterns that improve their nutritional status, protect health, and prevent the development of lifestyle-related health problems, in particular obesity and non-communicable diseases. In my opinion, making healthy and sustainable food choices should be effortless, affordable, and attractive for all.
My interests and expertise | Within the field of nutrition I am particularly intrigued by eating behaviour, and keen to learn more about factors that influence food-related decision-making: automatic and reflective cognitive processes, cognitive biases and heuristics, individual characteristics, and environmental cues. I have been working in multidisciplinary research teams and in projects that focus on the food environment, and that apply the so-called nudge approach to foster better dietary choices.
