Short bio

Mr Erkka Rinne is a Research Team Leader in the Smart Energy and Built Environment research area at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd. He joined VTT in 2010, where his research interests have been variable generation integration, energy systems modelling and utilising weather data and as well as developing solutions for open science. Key qualifications are mathematical optimisation, data processing, programming and database design as well as geographical information systems.

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
