Short bio
I am a Senior Scientist in the Energy Transition team at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, with over a decade of experience in energy industry, energy markets, urban energy systems, and carbon neutral technologies from renewables to nuclear. In my work I combine both technical insight and strong business and market understanding, including experience in venture development and evaluating start-ups for growth and upscaling potential. I am passionate about developing, creating, and collaborating with people to help lead the way to achieve a sustainable energy future. I am currently connecting research, innovation and business in several ongoing projects and pursuing a PhD in Aalto University in the Department of Energy Technology in the topic of decarbonization pathways of district heating. My research focuses on energy transition strategies with an economic perspective and enabling companies, cities and public actors to succeed in energy transition.
