Short bio

Hilkka Liedes (née Runtti) received her D.Sc. (Tech) degree in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering from Tampere University in 2023 and M.H.Sc. degree in Medical and Wellness Technology from University of Oulu in 2010.

She works as a Senior Scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd and has more than 10 years of experience in health data analytics, machine learning, and development and evaluation of novel health technology solutions. Recently, she has delved into the world of medical device regulation.

She has been working in several EU (e.g. IDERHA, EMIF, PredictND), Business Finland (e.g. PreMed, ICory), and Academy of Finland (e.g. T2D-Data) -funded projects as well as in customer projects.
