Kirsi M. Aaltola has studied educational science and information technology in University of Jyväskylä, Finland. She works as a research team leader (resilience of society) at the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. She has led and coordinated several European Commission funded research and technology development projects with large organizational networks (e.g. “the European network of Cybersecurity centres and competence Hub for innovation and Operations", Improving the Effectiveness of Capabilities in EU conflict prevention” and “Gaming for Peace”). She has years of experiences in leadership and management positions. Moreover, she has designed and implementated training programs in the field of crisis management, peacebuilding and international leadership.
