Short bio
Maria Dubovik, M.Sc. (Tech.) in Water Engineering, is currently a PhD researcher at University of Helsinki and a Research Scientist at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. Her work is dedicated to advancing resilient cities through innovative approaches to water and climate adaptation with a particular emphasis on nature-based solutions and their importance in climate policy and governance. In her work, Maria aims to strengthen the science-policy interface to enhance the adaptive capacity to climate change.
Maria is a member of the Water Europe Expert Group on Green-Grey Infrastructure and Nature-Based Solutions and a chair of the Young Water Professionals Finland country chapter under the International Water Association.
