Short bio
I received my PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2008 from the University of Palermo and my MSc in Particle Physics from the University of Pavia (1997) and from the University of Cambridge (1998). I have 25 years of experience in applied photonic research both in industry (former Pirelli Labs – Optical Innovation) and in academia (RLE MIT, University of Palermo, and CoreCom). My present roles in VTT are design and simulation of integrated optical devices and Project Management, taking care of both customers and EU projects. I'm also managing VTT internal initiative on Quantum Technologies and coordinating aCryComm, a FET Open project on similar topics.
