Short bio
Matthias Deschryvere works as a senior scientist and innovation economist at the Quantitative Science and Technology Studies team of VTT Technical Research Centre Finland Ltd. Deschryvere his work has been focusing on the role of innovation and diversity for the performance of firms, ecosystems and countries and on innovation policy design. Before joining VTT Deschryvere was working in multiple think tanks and research units: Kiel Institute of World Economics (DE), Belgian Knowledge Centre for SME Financing (BE), ETLA Research Institute of the Finnish Economy (FI), SPRU Science Policy Research Unit (UK) and STEPI Science and Technology Policy Institute (KR). Deschryvere his research intrests currently cover the topics of econometrics, innovation processes, diversity, firm performance, firm growth, productivity, competitiveness and innovation policy.
