Short bio
Mika Rantakokko is currently working in the role of Connectivity Lead which involves spearheading R&D and fostering collaborations that harness digitalization's full potential. Main topics are related to future connectivity enablers, including 5G/6G and quantum communications, as well as innovative exploitation of connectivity solutions in different verticals, such as defence/dual-use, smart industry, smart transport/logistics, smart health and smart cities.
Previously, as Liaison Manager at the 6G Flagship at the University of Oulu, he contributed to pioneering research in 6G technology, setting the stage for future advancements. Mika is also, among other things, a former coordinator of European Wireless ICT Smart Specialisation Platform and EU Urban Agenda Digital Transition Partnership.
