Personal profile

Short bio

I am a simulation professional with a curious mind, always ready to learn and try something new. When it comes to simulations, I enjoy developing new methodologies and pushing boundaries of the current technologies. As a researcher, I aim at producing high impact research to support science-based decision-making and developing novel solutions to promote sustainability and health and well-being.

Research interests

My research interests focus on various aspects of modelling indoor air quality exploiting suitable modelling approaches from 0-dimensional box models to high-fidelity CFD simulations. Recent projects have involved modelling ventilation and filtration solutions to evaluate exposure to particles and gaseous contaminant in indoor spaces, co-optimising energy-efficiency and indoor air quality, and modelling the dispersion of bioaerolsols to assess infection probabilities and exploring mitigation solutions in pandemic context. Furthermore, I am interested in connecting indoor air quality to health and well-being, and evaluating the costs and benefits related to indoor air quality.
