Research interests

Nina’s expertise is in responsible and inclusive innovation processes, responsibility-driven socio-technical change and innovation policy in sustainability transitions. She works with themes of social innovation and sustainability, e.g., justice, inclusion, equity, and advances gender equality approaches in research and innovation. Also, alternative growth approaches, regeneration, post-growth, hybrid value creation, grassroots innovation, specialising in the Global South research have recently sparked her research interest. Nina has led numerous national and EU-funded projects, pioneering approaches to co-creation, foresight, and transformative policy design. With a doctorate in Economics and Business Administration, she combines academic rigour with real-world impact, driving socio-technical change through participatory methods and systemic innovation strategies in science, technology, and innovation (STI) environments.
