Short bio
I am an electrochemist (sähkökemisti) with a strong background with different types of electrochemical energy conversion devices. I defended my doctoral dissertation at Aalto University October 2020 in the research group of Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage (Prof. Tanja Kallio). My main topic during my PhD was PEM water electrolysers and fuel cells but I have continiously been collaborating in side projects with various topics, including other types of electrocatalytic systems, lithium ion batteries, supercapacitors.
Expertise area
My expertise is working in the lab with electrochemical systems: electrode preparation, cell assembly, system configuration and experimental electrochemical methods.
Research interests
At VTT, I am mainly working with lithium ion batteries. The focus of our work is to find more environmentally friendly material solutions or manufacturing methods to the current battery technologies.
