My research focus is on business models, business model innovation and their applications for organisations to forecast business opportunities related to new, emerging digital technologies. Perhaps with a successful application of business model theory, an organisation can forecast which new, emerging technologies can used as business opportunity and how they will impact business models.

My focus on business models literature and applications for foresight - by using business models and business model innovation,  I pursue to help organizations identify business opportunities related to new, emerging digital technologies. I suppose this is a more academic way of saying "I want to know where the money is going to be at!" The research context for me is within the data economy and related new technologies like 6G networks, artificial intelligence and the European data spaces.

I have over 18 years of experience in the R&D field, from customer focused development projects to large, international research projects. During my career, I've worked in different roles within the R&D context - e.g. as a consultant, business developer, project manager/work package leader and of course as a research scientist.

My theoretical expertise areas include business models, data-based business models, value creation, business and data ecosystems as well as platform business/economics.
