Short bio

Dr. Rajit Gupta is a Research Scientist at VTT in the Remote Sensing team. His areas of expertise includes Remote sensing and GIS, Forestry, Ecological and process-based modelling, Climate change and Vegetation mapping. He received his PhD degree in Environmental Science from the Central University of Rajasthan, India. He worked as a Postdoctoral researcher with the Amazon Research Team for two years (2023-25) at the University of Turku, Finland. He published his scientific research in a reputed and quality journals. Currently, he is working on Pillar 6 of the Horizon Europe funded TerraDT project, coordinated by CSC–IT Center for Science, Finland.
