Research interests
Srivathsa Bhat received his M.Sc. degree in photonics from SSS University in 2008, and his M.Tech. degree in solid state technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2010. Between 2010-2015, he pursued his doctoral degree under Meint Smit in the Photonic Integration group at Eindhoven University of Technology where he focused on hybrid integration of InP membrane lasers on Silicon. Later in 2015, he joined 7 Pennies Consulting where he holds the position of a senior business analyst focusing on forming clusters and organizing workshops and trainings on photonic integration targeting the North American markets. In 2017, he joined VTT’s integrated optics group and his current focus is on the design and fabrication of photonic chips. He is a member of OSA.
