Short bio

I have worked 20+ years at VTT, which is in one of the leading comprehensive research and technology organizations in Europe. Through leadership positions in research, business development, sales and strategy, I have acquired a broad knowledge on research and innovation cycles, innovation management, speeding up commercialization and technology transfer as well as strategic frameworks to facilitate company’s impact delivery.

I hold a PhD in biochemistry, and have carried out and led research in the field of industrial biotechnology developing technologies for bio-refineries. My long-standing areas of interest focus broadly on sustainable and smart solutions within bio and circular economy. Recently, my emphasis has focused on long-term success and transformation of VTT.
