Wagner Ramirez

My name is Wagner Ramirez, I am from Chile, I joined VTT as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Antennas and Circuits team (BA6214), starting on January 7th.

I completed my PhD studies in Microwave Engineering in 2021 at the University of Concepción (UdeC), Chile. My thesis was based on the packaging design for silicon-germanium low-noise amplifiers and for hybrid technologies. I also performed cryogenic characterization of silicon-germanium low-noise amplifiers and transistors. These works were a collaboration between UdeC and VTT, where I worked for almost a year in 2018. Afterwards, I worked for five years as Correlator and Back-end Engineer at the ALMA observatory in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile.
