Analysing the drivers, barriers and readiness factors of EU companies for adopting advanced manufacturing products and technologies

We contribute to the development of an effective and efficient policy aimed at the facilitation of adoption of advanced manufacturing products and technologies in Europe. With this main objective, we study to what extent EU manufacturing companies currently use advanced manufacturing products and technologies as part of their efforts to increase their productivity, competitiveness and growth. On the other hand, we examine the readiness of companies for adopting advanced manufacturing as well as possible medium and long term implications from integrating advanced manufacturing and answering what are the main drivers and barriers of adoption. As the main outcome of the study, we deliver a detailed list of the policy recommendations and explanation of their practical implementation.
