Description
Communication networks are one field where combinatorial optimization and graph algorithms are essential to multitude of key research and design problems, e.g., traffic engineering and network optimization, constrained routing algorithms, link scheduling and channel assignment, interference management and so on. In many cases, the only practical solutions have been based on heuristic algorithms or black box optimization methods like AI/ML or ILP. Heuristic quantum-classical algorithms can offer in this case interesting opportunities to solve these problems more efficiently and transparently, and thus we are aiming to investigate how this approach can be used to optimize wireless network challenges in context of 6G, and how such solutions would affect 6G networks.
