More accurate measurements of large parts in factory environments

Large volume metrology (LVM) is a critical requirement in many high value industries where the EU is globally competitive: aerospace, automotive, civil engineering, energy and power generation.

Project will deliver improved, dynamic-capable, traceable measuring systems for operation as Large Volume Metrology tools and technologies in typical as well as in harsh factory environments without compromising on the traceability and accuracy requirements from other end users such as civil engineering, surveying, science and research.

VTT MIKES leads the elaboration of a model-based representation of a dynamic coordinate measurement and studies to bring cost-effective time synchronization with sufficient accuracy
to industrial LVM applications.
