Description
At the EU and national levels, waste and material resource management challenges are integral to environmental strategies and broader resource efficiency policies. The role of ETCs in supporting implementation of EU legislation and policies is a key element of EEA activities towards Member States and the European Commission. ETCs gather expertise to cover the knowledge needs for EU policies, to handle and analyse data, to assess the European state and trends of the environment occurring in EEA member countries. As a partner of the ETC consortia, VTT is included in the policy work of the EC.
