The Future of Software Work project investigates how generative AI and other emerging technologies are reshaping software development work, competencies, leadership models, and employee well-being. As AI accelerates automation and transforms routine programming tasks, the project addresses the growing need to reimagine roles, learning paths, and sustainable work practices in a rapidly changing field. Through a combination of foresight methods, experimental pilots, and cross-sector collaboration, the project co-develops human-centered and ethically grounded strategies for future software work.
