Governance of new technologies towards sustainability and well-being

This study will analyse the conditions for anticipatory, inclusive and directional governance of new technologies. The coordination needs and opportunities present in different governance interfaces, such as emerging public-private partnership models, are analysed in particular. The focus is on selected technology- and challenge-driven cases that are highly relevant in the Finnish context: 1) Preventive services to avoid the accumulation of health and social problems; 2) AI for medical technology; and 3) Simulation of new materials using quantum computing.
