Holistic Approach towards Empowerment of the DiGitalization of the Energy Ecosystem through adoption of IoT solutions

Project: EU project

Project Details

Description

The project aims to enhance the resilience, flexibility, and sustainability of energy systems by deploying cutting-edge IoT assets and advanced AI/ML solutions to support the integration of renewable energy sources. Bringing together ICT companies, research and technology organizations, SMEs, energy stakeholders, EU-level associations, and legal and regulatory experts, HEDGE-IoT develops a comprehensive digital framework that bridges the cloud/edge continuum and enables federated applications through advanced computational orchestration. The project seeks to create an inclusive and trustworthy ecosystem based on secure and ethical IoT practices, fostering collaboration among stakeholders while delivering scalable, replicable, and innovative solutions. Through these efforts, HEDGE-IoT supports Europe's transition toward a resilient, sustainable, and decarbonized energy future.
The project will generate new knowledge and expertise, functional specifications, innovative practices, and validated operational models, with outcomes disseminated through project reports, demonstrations, and peer-reviewed international scientific publications.
