Description
Industrial CO2 reuse project aims to develop energy-efficient CO2 utilization technologies that could convert the vast biogenic CO2 emissions of Finnish pulp mills to valuable fuels, chemicals and materials. Transforming pulp mill emissions into long-lasting products sequestrates carbon, increasing carbon efficiency of the forest industry. The hydrogen needed for CO2 conversion processes is produced with green energy, promoting investments in green electricity and hydrogen infrastructure. The market opportunities include e.g., production of biogenic CO2-based polyurethanes and polyolefins, which have significant global markets.
