Industrial Hydrogen

Project: Finnish government project

Project Details

Description

This project supports the RepowerEU initiative by developing a robust infrastructure for industrial hydrogen technologies, with a focus on data-driven innovation and advanced fuel cell and electrolysis systems. Work Packages 2 and 3 focus on establishing a digital backbone for data collection, storage, analysis, and supervisory control to enable safe and efficient operation of hydrogen test rigs, while also providing valuable data for both internal research and external collaboration. These capabilities ensure enhanced risk management, system security, and support for continuous innovation. Work Package 4 advances new green hydrogen production technologies by designing and operating two 3 kWe Anion Exchange Membrane Electrolysis (AEMEL) test rigs integrated into a smart grid environment. Together, these efforts create new opportunities for collaboration with research institutions and industry stakeholders, accelerating the deployment of next-generation hydrogen solutions in Europe.
