Loss Measurements on Power Transformers and Reactors

Project: EU project

Project Details

Description

Accurate loss measurement systems for grid power transformers and reactors to improve their efficiency.

Improving devices dealing with large amounts of energy (e.g. grid power transformers) could significantly save costs and reduce energy waste.

Project establishes highly accurate loss measurement systems for transformers and reactors and develop prototype devices that significantly reduce measurement uncertainty.

VTT MIKES develops a new high-accuracy inductive voltage divider with 100 kV measurement range and better than 40 µV/V ratio uncertainty and 25 µrad phase displacement uncertainty.
