Metrological support for LNG and LBG as a transport fuel

  • Rajamäki, Timo (Manager)

    Project: EU project

    Project Details

    Description

Facilitating the large scale roll-out of LNG and LBG as fuel.

Reliable determination of the amount, physical properties and composition of LNG and LBG are needed for large scale utilization as transport fuels.

Project aims to reduce the uncertainty of LNG and LBG custody transfer measurements, as well as to develop traceable reference standards and validate sensors for in-line measurements.

VTT MIKES develops a tuneable filter infrared sensor for the determination of the methane number and validates it with engine tests and comparisons.
