Project Details
Description
Multi-purpose service robotics as operator business (MURO) project studies a new multi-purpose robot enabled services and business models. The scope is autonomous, mobile service robots that are used indoors or outdoors, e.g. in last mile delivery, maintenance, surveillance or customer service use. At the core is the MURO vision that heterongenous multi-purpose service robot fleets are in shared use amonb B2B and B2C stakeholders and they purchase MURO aided services from MURO operators. The research project concentrates on studying MURO operators business model and the way it transforms robotics service business and ecosystems, new data utilizing technologies and manipulators for multi-purpose robots and MURO enabled services, and acceptance of multi-purpose robotics that can be enhanced with UX design. The research project is conducted in close cooperation with the following companies' R&D projects: Avertas, GIM Robotics, K. Hartwall, Navitec Systems, Telia and Trombia Technologies. In addition to these companies, Dimalog, KONE, Nokia, Rotator and Solteq participate in the research project.
