Multifunctional ultrafast microprobes for on-the-machine measurements

    Project: EU project

    Project Details

    Description

New generation of tactile microprobes for material surface measurements.

Surface quality monitoring is a key issue for the production of materials and coatings used in modern technology; high-value manufacturing requires accurate measurement of properties such as roughness, elasticity or contamination.

Project develops tactile microprobes for material surface measurements in industry.

VTT MIKES integrates microprobes into roll grinding machines and validates the micro-probe performance by test measurements.
