Description
Realisation and dissemination of the future SI ampere.
New methods for the realisation of the future SI ampere are needed, since the definition of the ampere will be based on the exact value of the elementary charge e in the redefined SI.
Project develops accurate current sources based on the transfer of single electrons and improves the traceable dissemination of quantum current standards to the end users.
VTT MIKES characterises single-electron pumps and makes direct comparisons of pumps by current null measurements.
Call 2015: SI Broader Scope
This project has received funding from the EMPIR programme co-financed by the Participating States and from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
