Radical and Incremental Innovation in Industrial Renewal

The project addresses the development of innovation competences and the role of diffusion and disruption in renewing manufacturing. We examine how radical and incremental innovations emerge and influence manufacturing industry evolution at different levels, and provide a novel empirical investigation to conclude in what industrial organization radical or incremental innovation is most likely to instigate economy wide processes of renewal. We focus specifically on variables that determine innovation ecosystem reconfiguration under disruptive technological change.
