Sector-integrated and resilient energy system enabling green transition

Project: Finnish government project

Project Details

Description

Energy system plays a key role for enabling green transition. With higher shares of renewables, the generation side becomes more dynamic. At the same time, new kinds of dynamics are introduced on the consumer side. All components and actors are increasingly interconnected and controllable, and cross-sectoral synergies are sought for energy efficiency. On the other hand, integration and complexity are challenging our energy resilience. Additional opportunities for wind and solar power production are sought in northern and arctic areas. In the project solutions are developed for critical features of sector-integrated and resilient energy system.
