Description
A smart solution in healthcare refers to a tool based on extensive health data and its analysis, e.g. machine learning or artificial intelligence methods, to facilitate the decision-making of a healthcare professional, e.g. in the field of health care. in e.g. treatment guidance. The aim of this project is to promote the utilisation of health and social services data and health information (my data) reported by citizens themselves, both by developing smart solutions for healthcare and by improving the conditions for their utilisation. The project seeks solutions especially to the current situation formed by regulations, where the processing of health and social services data is largely only permitted in a secure operating environment (data lake). In order to enable smart solutions, it is necessary to solve how, for example, my data can be imported into the data lake and how the calculation required for smart solutions can be implemented, as well as how companies can utilize the created model. To achieve this, the project will further develop the data lake environment in North Savo. Development is carried out by piloting. The project collects the necessary health information and my data and uses smart solutions to create an overall model of the treatment path for breast and lung cancer patients, which also includes an assessment of effectiveness. The model supports the treatment of cancer patients in healthcare and produces information for knowledge-based management in healthcare. The implemented model can be used in the development of similar health related challenges puzzles. The companies involved bring business visions/solutions to the project.
