The study “Supporting the Study on the Next Data Frontier: Generative AI, Regulatory Compliance, and International Dimensions” (Contract No. 2024-020, under Framework Contract CNECT/2022/OP/0036) is commissioned by the European Commission’s DG CNECT. Implemented by a consortium including ICF, Axon Partners Group, BearingPoint France, and CARSA, the study aims to support EU policy and business strategy by exploring the evolving data economy shaped by generative AI. It will provide actionable insights and policy recommendations to address regulatory, governance, and international challenges, with the goal of strengthening the EU’s data-sharing frameworks and competitive position in the AI market.
