Sustainable Technologies for Advanced Resilient and Energy-Efficient Networks / Frictionless, secure, and resilient communication networks for the dynamic digital world

Project: Business Finland project

Project Details

Description

The SUSTAINET-innovate project develops frictionless, high-performance networks for advanced services and a secure, sustainable digital future. The CELTIC-NEXT flagship project is cooperation by partners from Finland, Germany, Belgium, UK, and Canada. The Finnish consortium, lead by VTT, advances resilience, availability, and efficiency of mission-critical network services and applications by developing cybersecurity and automation solutions. The cooperation researches and develops technologies in the intersection of a) network use cases for critical users, b) artificial intelligence and machine learning applications, and c) cybersecurity and resilience. We will develop and trial communication, technologies, which enable users and IoT-machines to connect securely anywhere in frictionless manner. We will study advanced software automation and AI approaches for management of critical services, security operations, and hybrid-satellite networks. We will advance security assurance and digital twinning methodologies to improve sustainability, cybersecurity, and resilience. The project focuses to critical use cases, which are important, e.g., for public safety and transport sector users, and in general for the industry and society.
