Description
The state of regional security -model was developed to monitor changes in the security environment, and to support regional security planning as well as emergency preparedness. The model guides in organising security monitoring
through inter-authority cooperation and in selecting appropriate security indicators. The implementation of the model was supported by instructions of monitoring security situation, identifying root causes of challenges in security, and forecasting the future for the regional security networks.
The core of the model is a multifunctional foresight team whose role is to analyse security information and assess the state of regional security. The utilised security information is largely based on the activities of the regional foresight network, which monitors the indicators, statistics and
