Torque measurement in the MN m range

  • Koponen, Petri (Manager)

    Project: EU project

    Project Details

    Description

Improving torque testing conditions for the wind energy industry.

Presently it is not possible to traceably measure MN m torques occurring in nacelle test benches used in the development of wind turbine generators.

Project improves testing conditions for wind energy industry by providing traceability for torque measurements in the MN m range.

VTT MIKES studies and models multicomponent torque transducers and designs transfer standards for torques up to 20 MN m.
