Abstract
Finland has had big role in 5G development with strong companies, wide and active R&D ecosystem and patient national investments including Business Finland 5thGear program and 5G Test Network Finland (5GTNF) ecosystem. The completion of phase 1 radio standardization has made it more clear what 5G will be able to offer and has enabled the vertical industry players to place 5G on their business development and digitalization roadmap. Now commercialization of the first 5G network generation is starting. At the same time, Beyond 5G R&D and utilization of AI are ramping up and offer excellent business opportunities to both telecom and vertical industries. This speech introduces the content, results and future goals related to 5GTNF ecosystem 5G and beyond technology research, test network development and vertical industry trials activities.
