Abstract
The most serious drawback of modelling the solid fuel devolatisation by means of a first order kinetic is the failure to account for the apparently asymptotic yield of volatiles that depends on the temperature. A Solid fuel devolatisation model that is based on the temperature dependant asymptotic yield of volatiles is presented.
