A short description of the computer code TMOC

Abstract

The TMOC computer code is described. TMOC-code can be used for the analysis of hydraulic transients in fluid filled piping networks. The geometry to be analyzed is described using pipe components, which are coupled together using suitable boundary conditions. The hydrodynamic model and solution methods of TMOC are described. The input requirements are given in Appendix 1, and two test cases are presented in Appendices 2 and 3. The existing data are compared with the code results. The present version of TMOC consists of about about 6 500 Fortran-statements. The program is written in Fortran IV language on Cyber 173 computer. The program size is approximately 60 kilowords.
