Abstract

This paper presents a new solution for filtering current harmonics in three-phase thee-wire medium voltage networks. The hybrid filter topology presented in this paper is characterized by the use of an H-Bridge instead of the usual thee-phase inverter. This H-bridge is directly connected in series with a passive filter tuned around sixth harmonic. This paper provides a theoretical explanation on voltage control of H-bridge in three-phase systems. The good performance of this new topology as well as the proposed controller will be evaluated by means of simulations.
