Acceptance and adoption of industrial mobile solutions: Factors affecting to professional use and exploitation of mobility

Abstract

Despite the good variety of different acceptance and adoption models, there clearly is lack of specific models focusing on adoption and user acceptance in industrial mobile solutions.
There can be seen similarity in technology acceptance models' factors and in fact some of the models are based on some other acceptance model in some level.
The problem with using same models for industrial mobile solutions is that there are several different factors affecting on technology acceptance and adoption in industrial environment. Industrial mobile solutions must provide benefits to the business directly and/or indirectly and support employees work activities in easily usable manner.
When concerning acceptance and adoption of industrial mobile solutions, different business aspects of technology acceptance/adoption in industrial environment and different models of technology user adoption/acceptance should be combined.
This synthesis should be developed to a new specific model. One possible solution for the synthesis and model is presented, IMSAM i.e. Industrial Mobile Solutions Adoption Model.
