Abstract
A user interface that is adaptable according to the needs
and preferences of the user is an efficient way to
improve the usability of complex applications. The TIDE
ACCESS project has developed tools, with which the
adaptability can be achieved in terms of input and output
techniques, appearance, information contents and
functionality. VTT Information Technology has utilised
the tools in communication software for speech impaired
people.
