Abstract

Advanced graphs are expected to support automated development of dynamic plant models from such plant construction data, that in future is expected to be available from evolving semantic plant specifications or CAD systems connected to relevant component data bases. Advanced graphs, however, already promote efficient manual model specification based on drawings, component catalogues or s measurements from the real plant. By use of advanced graphs the application modeler can refrain from error prone writing and manipulation of equations, he only needs to draw the specification flow sheets and fill in the data query forms for the components. In this paper, advanced graphs of different physical domains are presented, underlying equations and solution methods are discussed, and successful applications are touched upon.
