Abstract
This section introduces an agent-based design and
implementation of the TINA access session to support
personal mobility and retailer selection. The presented
design allows users to select and access services
according to their preferences even though they are
visiting foreign domains. The market of retailers,
content and connectivity providers is envisioned to be
open and competitive so that users are enabled, to select
the service offer most closely matching their needs in
the most economical way in each session. Key innovations
include the implementation of a specialised user agent to
perform the selections on behalf of the users and the
extension of the TINA access session with the retailer
selection sequence. The presented approach replaces the
TINA User Agent concept with several specialised mobile
agents.
