Abstract

The pressure balance used for MIKES barometer calibrations is a DH Instruments PG7601 for the range 5 kPa–350 kPa. The commonly used pressure range in barometer calibrations 850 hPa–1050 hPa has been automated by a removable weight exchange system. The new weight exchanger system has been tested in routine calibrations. The construction of the weight exchanger system for the pressure balance is described and the measurement results are shown.
