Ancillary services costs for different services and different conventional generators: REserviceS Deliverable D2.3

The REserviceS project will assess when and how wind and solar PV could usefully contribute to ancillary services. Therefore, they need to be compared against other possibilities to provide the same system services: conventional generators and network devices. The purpose of this Deliverable is to provide characteristics and costs of conventional generators and network devices used to provide frequency and voltage management. It will also provide a template for the similar data from wind power and solar PV. The ancillary services are defined and explained in REserviceS Deliverables 2.1 and 2.2. In here only characteristics of generators and network devices relevant to cost assessment are discussed.
