Abstract
High-resolution neutron diffraction results for high-Tc superconductors are considered, paying attention to some anomalous features related to the tetragonal-to-orthorhombic transition in the LaSrCuO system and to thermal vibrations in the YBaCuO system. The role of order-disorder processes due to vacancies in the lattice is emphasized.
